Ask Your Chart: Money
Every money question has two halves, and almost all of the disappointment in this subject comes from answering the wrong one. The first half is capacity: what your chart is built to hold. The second half is timing: which of your money rulers is running your life right now, and when the next one takes over. Capacity is fixed at birth and rarely moves. Timing changes on dated boundaries you can count.
This page reads the timing half first, because it is the half that decides what this year feels like, and because it is the half that people actually ask about. Below, in order: which four houses carry money and which planet owns each of yours, how much of an ordinary life is a money period at all, what the period you are in now can honestly be asked, and where Jupiter and Saturn are sitting relative to your money houses this year. Three real charts are worked end to end at the bottom, one for each of the three shapes the answer takes.
Everything up to the worked charts you can do yourself from the tables here, using only your rising sign. Your rising sign, called the lagna, is the sign that was climbing over the eastern horizon at the minute you were born, and it is what fixes which planet owns which house of your chart.
The four questions people bring, and the house each one belongs to
One hundred and eighty-three AstroMedha users asked about money in their own words between April and August 2026. Sorted by what has to be computed to answer them, they fall into four shapes, and the four shapes belong to four different houses.
| What people write | The house it belongs to | What has to be computed |
|---|---|---|
| "When my debt free possible", "i am in debt and no earnings, can i get out of this situation" | The 6th, which carries debt, obligation and daily grind | When the 6th ruler's sub-period ends, and when a 2nd or 11th ruler's begins |
| "When will my finance improve", "Currently I am doing an ordinary teaching job. When will I earn good money?" | The 11th, which carries income and gains | The next dated sub-period run by the 11th ruler, and where Jupiter is relative to the 11th |
| "Why does money come and go but never stay" | The 12th against the 2nd, outflow against holdings | Whether the 12th ruler outranks the 2nd ruler in the ladder, and which of them runs longer |
| "how much welth potetional in my chart... i able to bilioner if yes in which age?" | The 2nd, with the 11th behind it | Whether the money rulers are linked to each other, their condition, and the ages their periods fall at |
The four shapes need different arithmetic, which is why one page could never serve them and why forty-nine pages of general money writing served them no better. A page about scarcity mindset and a page about debt exit are the same page if neither one counts anything.
The two dates that answer most of these are the same two dates in every case: the day your 6th or 12th ruler's turn ends, and the day your 2nd or 11th ruler's turn begins. The rest of this hub is about how to find those two dates in your own chart and how much weight to put on them.
Which four houses, and why these four
A house in a Vedic chart is one twelfth of the sky measured from your rising sign, and each of the twelve carries a fixed set of subjects. Four of them carry money, and they carry different parts of it.
The 2nd house is what you hold. Savings, accumulated assets, family wealth, and also speech and food, which is the older sense of the same idea: what you take in and keep.
The 6th house is what you owe. Debt, loans, obligation, illness, competition, and the daily grind of service. It is not a house of poverty. It is a house of things that must be worked off, and a strong 6th house is very good at working them off.
The 11th house is what comes in. Income, gains, profit, the realisation of a desire, and the network that carries those things to you. Where the 2nd is a store, the 11th is a flow.
The 12th house is what goes out. Expenditure, loss, distant places, and letting go. A busy 12th is not automatically a leak; it is spend, and spend can be tuition, travel, or a mortgage on a house you keep.
The obvious question next is why this page uses the 2nd, 6th, 11th and 12th when a dhana yoga, which is the classical wealth combination in Vedic astrology, is defined on the 2nd, 5th, 9th and 11th. Both sets are used on this page and they answer different questions. The 2/5/9/11 set is about capacity: whether your chart's money houses reinforce each other structurally, which is what a dhana yoga tests, because the 5th and 9th are houses of fortune and merit rather than of cash. The 2/6/11/12 set is about flow: what comes in, what goes out, what is held and what is owed. A chart can be strong on capacity and still spend thirty years without a single inflow period, and the section on dhana yogas below measures exactly how often that happens.
The 8th house also touches money, through inheritance, insurance, other people's resources and sudden reversals. It is left out of the four here because its subject is not the reader's own inflow or outflow, and mixing it in makes the flow arithmetic below meaningless. Where a question is genuinely about a windfall or an inheritance, the 8th is the house to read and the rest of this page will not answer it.
Your four money rulers
Each sign is owned by one planet, and the sign that sits in a given house of your chart hands that house to its owner. Because the houses run in fixed order from your rising sign, your four money rulers are settled the moment your rising sign is settled. Find your rising sign in the left column.
| Rising sign | 2nd house, what you hold | 6th house, what you owe | 11th house, what comes in | 12th house, what goes out |

Write your four planets down. They are the only four planets whose periods this page is about, and for the rest of your life they will be the same four.
Two of the seven planets appear far less often than the others. Across 100,000 sampled charts, Venus owned at least one of the four money houses for 61.5% of people, Mercury for 60.6%, Mars for 58.5%, Jupiter for 57.2% and Saturn for 53.4%. The Sun did so for 34.9% and the Moon for 34.4%. The reason is arithmetic rather than meaning: the Sun and the Moon own one sign each while the other five own two, so they get half as many chances to land on a money house.
Where one planet works both sides
Look again at Gemini, Sagittarius and Pisces in the table. In each of those three, one planet owns a house on the inflow side and a house on the outflow side at the same time.
- Gemini rising: Mars owns the 6th, what you owe, and the 11th, what comes in.
- Sagittarius rising: Venus owns the 6th and the 11th.
- Pisces rising: Saturn owns the 11th, what comes in, and the 12th, what goes out.
For those three rising signs, a period run by that planet cannot be called a money period or a money problem. It is both at once, and reading it as either alone will get the year wrong. What it means concretely is that the same period is expected to raise the gross and the obligation together, so the figure to watch during it is the net rather than the inflow. Worked charts B and C at the bottom of this page are both of this type, one for Sagittarius rising and one for Gemini rising, and they show what the layered reading looks like on a real ladder of dates.
Two more rising signs double up on the same side rather than across it. Leo rising has Mercury owning both the 2nd and the 11th, and Aquarius rising has Jupiter owning both the 2nd and the 11th. For those two, one planet carries the whole inflow story, which concentrates a lot of a life's money timing into a single planet's periods and leaves long stretches with nothing on the money axis at all. The percentages in the next section put a number on how long.
The remaining seven rising signs have four distinct rulers and can read each period cleanly as one thing.
How much of a life is a money period at all
Vedic timing runs on a dasha, which is a sequence of planetary periods that covers a whole life, and the standard one is the Vimshottari, which is a 120-year cycle divided among the nine planets in a fixed order and fixed lengths: Ketu 7 years, Venus 20, Sun 6, Moon 10, Mars 7, Rahu 18, Jupiter 16, Saturn 19, Mercury 17. The order and the lengths never change. What changes from person to person is where in that cycle you were born, which is set by the exact position of the Moon at your birth minute.
Inside each major period, called the mahadasha, the same nine planets take sub-periods in the same order, called the antardasha, each one proportional to its own length. So at any moment two planets have the floor together: the one running the major period and the one running the sub-period inside it.
Because your four money rulers are fixed by your rising sign, and because each planet controls a fixed share of the 120-year cycle, the share of your life that any money ruler controls at all is fixed too. It can be computed exactly, with no birth date needed.
| Rising sign | Share of the cycle run by an inflow ruler (2nd or 11th) | By an outflow ruler (6th or 12th) | By a ruler that is both | Total money-ruler share | Share run by no money ruler |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aries | 32.5% | 27.5% | 0% | 60.0% | 40.0% |
| Taurus | 27.5% | 22.5% | 0% | 50.0% | 50.0% |
| Scorpio | 27.5% | 22.5% | 0% | 50.0% | 50.0% |
| Cancer | 21.7% | 27.5% | 0% | 49.2% | 50.8% |
| Capricorn | 21.7% | 27.5% | 0% | 49.2% | 50.8% |
| Virgo | 25.0% | 20.8% | 0% | 45.8% | 54.2% |
| Leo | 14.2% | 24.2% | 0% | 38.3% | 61.7% |
| Libra | 10.8% | 27.5% | 0% | 38.3% | 61.7% |
| Sagittarius | 15.8% | 5.8% | 16.7% | 38.3% | 61.7% |
| Aquarius | 13.3% | 24.2% | 0% | 37.5% | 62.5% |
| Gemini | 8.3% | 16.7% | 5.8% | 30.8% | 69.2% |
| Pisces | 5.8% | 5.0% | 15.8% | 26.7% | 73.3% |
Aries rising has a money ruler on the floor for 60% of the cycle. Pisces rising has one for 26.7%. The difference is not a judgement about either chart; it is which planets happen to own those four signs, and the twenty-year Venus period and the six-year Sun period count very differently against the total.
The column that matters most is the last one. For every rising sign, somewhere between 40% and 73% of the cycle is run by planets that own none of your money houses. During those years the chart is leading with something else, and the honest answer to "when does money improve" is that the chart is not currently pointed at money.
What that looks like across a real life
The table above is the whole 120-year cycle, most of which nobody lives. So the same measurement was run over the years people actually work, ages 20 to 70, on 100,000 charts. For each chart, every sub-period overlapping that window was classified by which money house its ruler owns, and the years were added up.
| Over ages 20 to 70 | Mean share | Median | 10th percentile | 90th percentile |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Run by an inflow ruler (2nd or 11th) | 18.9% | 18.4% | 8.0% | 30.3% |
| Run by an outflow ruler (6th or 12th) | 21.4% | 23.6% | 6.2% | 29.3% |
| Run by a ruler that owns both sides | 2.9% | 0% | 0% | 14.3% |
| Run by no money ruler at all | 56.9% | 57.2% | 46.6% | 70.2% |
Four fifths of a working life falls outside the inflow periods. Adding the inflow column to the both-sides column gives 21.8% of the years from 20 to 70 in which a 2nd or 11th ruler has the floor, and the structural table above, weighted by how often each rising sign occurred in the sample, predicts 21.7%. The two agree to a tenth of a point, which is the check that the age window is not doing anything peculiar: the dasha ladder distributes evenly enough over a lifetime that the 20-to-70 slice looks like the whole cycle.
The wait between inflow periods
The share is one number. The gap is the one people feel. For each chart the longest stretch between age 20 and 70 with no 2nd or 11th ruler sub-period running was measured.
| Longest gap with no inflow period, ages 20 to 70 | Years |
|---|---|
| Median | 12.1 |
| Mean | 12.2 |
| 10th percentile | 7.5 |
| 90th percentile | 15.4 |
| Longest found in 100,000 charts | 30.3 |
Half of all charts contain a stretch of more than twelve years in which no inflow ruler holds a sub-period. That is the single most useful thing on this page for someone who has been asking why nothing is moving. A twelve-year flat stretch is the middle of the distribution, not the tail of it, and it says nothing about the chart's capacity. It says the queue is long.
The first inflow sub-period after age 20 arrives at a median age of 22.7, with a 90th percentile of 29.4 and a worst case in the sample of 50.3. So most people get one early, and the long wait usually falls in the middle of a career rather than at the start of it.
Where the missing years go
The obvious follow-up is what is happening in the 56.9%. The answer is that some other house has the floor. A sub-period run by the ruler of your 10th is a career period, one run by your 7th ruler is a partnership period, one run by your 4th ruler concerns home and property. Rahu and Ketu, the two lunar nodes, own no sign at all in this system, so their periods, which together take 25 of the 120 years, can never be classified as money periods by ownership. They are read instead by which house they sit in, which is the subject of the next section.
Money still moves during those years. What it does not do is take direction from the chart's money houses, which is why the chart is a poor guide to it and why a period run by an unrelated ruler is a bad moment to make a large financial decision on astrological grounds.
What the period you are running now can honestly be asked
On 26 August 2026, across the 100,000 sampled charts:
| On 2026-08-26 | Share of charts |
|---|---|
| The major-period ruler owns at least one of the four money houses | 42.0% |
| The sub-period ruler owns at least one of the four | 42.9% |
| At least one of the two does | 66.2% |
| Neither does | 33.8% |
Two people in three have a money ruler somewhere in the two periods running their life today. That sounds like a lot until you split it: the major period and the sub-period are asking different questions, and only the sub-period moves on a scale anyone plans around. A major period lasts six to twenty years. A sub-period lasts months to about three years.
Broken down by which house the major-period ruler owns, the four are almost evenly represented: the 2nd in 11.8% of charts, the 6th in 12.2%, the 11th in 11.5% and the 12th in 11.5%. There is no house that is unusually likely to be running your life right now.
The second reading: where the ruler is standing
Ownership is one of two things a planet does. The other is where it sits. A planet that owns your 11th but stands in your 12th is running an inflow that leaves, and a planet that owns nothing on the money axis but stands in your 2nd is putting its whole period into what you hold.
Across the sample, the house occupied by the major-period ruler is close to flat: every one of the twelve houses took between 8.05% and 8.54% of charts, which is as close to one twelfth each as a 100,000-chart sample gets. Where your current ruler is standing is therefore genuinely independent information rather than a restatement of which house it owns. It also means 33.0% of people have their major-period ruler standing in one of the four money houses, which is roughly the one-in-three you would expect from four houses out of twelve.
The practical reading order for the period you are in is: what does the ruler own, then where does it stand, then which sub-period is inside it. Ownership sets the subject. Placement sets where the subject plays out. The sub-period sets the dates.
Dhana yoga: two charts in three have one, and it does not move the timing
A yoga in Vedic astrology is a named combination of planets that carries a specific meaning, and a dhana yoga is the family of them that concerns wealth. The classical rule links the rulers of the wealth houses to each other, most commonly by conjunction, meaning two of those rulers standing in the same sign.
AstroMedha's detector applies the wider version of the rule, using the rulers of the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 9th and 11th houses, and reports the conjunction form. Run unchanged on 100,000 charts, it found a dhana yoga in 66.56% of them. The 30,000-chart replication at a different random seed returned 66.46%. Two charts in three have one.
That number needs saying plainly because of what people are told about it. A dhana yoga is real when you have one and it is also ordinary. Do I have a dhana yoga works through all four detection forms, including the exchange form the automatic detector does not cover, and gives the stricter four-house figure of 46.5% alongside this one.
The test that matters more
If a dhana yoga is a capacity marker, the reasonable question is whether people who have one also get more money periods. They do not.
| Ages 20 to 70, share run by a 2nd or 11th ruler | Mean |
|---|---|
| Charts with a dhana yoga (n = 66,564) | 21.26% |
| Charts without one (n = 33,436) | 22.81% |
| Pooled difference | -1.55 points |
The pooled difference runs slightly against the yoga, which is the wrong direction and small enough to be suspicious. It is an artifact of which rising signs tend to have one. Repeating the comparison inside each rising sign separately, on 40,000 charts, the difference collapses:
| Rising sign | With a dhana yoga | Without | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aries | 32.37% | 32.49% | -0.12 |
| Taurus | 27.63% | 27.45% | +0.18 |
| Gemini | 14.42% | 14.43% | -0.01 |
| Cancer | 21.93% | 21.84% | +0.09 |
| Leo | 14.62% | 14.54% | +0.08 |
| Virgo | 25.21% | 25.49% | -0.28 |
| Libra | 10.94% | 10.88% | +0.06 |
| Scorpio | 27.58% | 27.53% | +0.05 |
| Sagittarius | 32.42% | 32.46% | -0.05 |
| Capricorn | 21.51% | 21.55% | -0.03 |
| Aquarius | 12.88% | 12.97% | -0.09 |
| Pisces | 21.62% | 21.56% | +0.06 |
| Weighted average | -0.01 |
Within a rising sign, having a dhana yoga changes your share of inflow periods by one hundredth of a percentage point. The two facts are independent by construction: the yoga is about whether certain rulers are linked to each other, and the share of periods is about which planets own your 2nd and 11th and how long those planets run. Nothing in the first constrains the second.
What this means for reading your own chart is direct. A dhana yoga tells you the money houses of your chart support each other. It tells you nothing at all about when. If you have one and nothing is moving, the yoga is not failing; its planets are not on the floor. If you have none and money is flowing, that is not a contradiction either.
The hora balance, which is the D-2 chart
A divisional chart, called a varga, subdivides each sign and re-reads the planets in the smaller units, and each varga is read for one subject. The D-2, called the hora, is the wealth varga, and its rule is the simplest of all of them: every sign is cut in half, and each half belongs either to the Sun or to the Moon. Every planet in every chart therefore lands in one of exactly two places, the Sun's hora or the Moon's hora.
AstroMedha's own reading of the two, unchanged: planets in the Sun's hora build money through initiative, work and visibility, and are read as active, self-earned wealth. Planets in the Moon's hora grow money through saving, nurturing and steady inflow, and are read as accumulated, flowing wealth. Neither half is better. They describe different routes.
Because there are only two destinations, the useful number is the balance rather than any single placement. Across the 100,000 charts, counting the seven classical planets:
| Planets of seven in the Sun's hora | Share of charts |
|---|---|
| 0 | 0.82% |
| 1 | 4.99% |
| 2 | 15.65% |
| 3 | 27.87% |
| 4 | 28.47% |
| 5 | 16.49% |
| 6 | 5.04% |
| 7 | 0.66% |
Charts sitting between two and five make up 88.5% of the sample, which is to say most people are mixed and both routes are open to them. A fully one-sided chart is rare: 0.82% have every planet in the Moon's hora and 0.66% have every planet in the Sun's, so 1.48% of people fall at one extreme or the other. Those are the charts where the hora reading carries real weight, because it is saying something the rest of the chart is not.
The sharper version restricts the count to your own money rulers, the three or four planets from the table above. Counting only those:
| Money rulers in the Sun's hora | Share of charts |
|---|---|
| 0 | 8.52% |
| 1 | 29.56% |
| 2 | 37.90% |
| 3 | 20.29% |
| 4 | 3.73% |
One chart in twelve has none of its money rulers in the Sun's hora, and one in twenty-seven has all four there. Those are the two ends worth acting on. In between, the hora is a tint on the reading rather than the reading itself, and the timing half of this page carries more weight.
Where Jupiter and Saturn are now, and what that is worth
Two planets move slowly enough to define a season rather than a mood. Jupiter takes about a year per sign and Saturn about two and a half, so their passage across one of your money houses is a dated window with a start and an end, and it is the one input on this page that is the same for everyone born under the same rising sign.
On 26 August 2026:
- Jupiter stands at 18.30 degrees of Cancer, in the nakshatra Ashlesha. A nakshatra is one of the twenty-seven segments the Moon passes through in a month, and each planet's position is read against the segment it falls in as well as the sign. Jupiter is direct, meaning moving forward against the stars, and turns retrograde, meaning apparently moving backwards, on 13 December 2026.
- Saturn stands at 19.74 degrees of Pisces, in Revati. Saturn has been retrograde since 27 July 2026 and turns direct on 11 December 2026. It entered Pisces on 29 March 2025 and leaves it for the last time on 23 February 2028.
Today Jupiter sits in the 2nd house for Gemini rising and the 11th for Virgo rising. Saturn sits in the 2nd for Aquarius rising and the 11th for Taurus rising. Everyone else is waiting, and the wait is dated.
| Rising sign | Jupiter in your 2nd | Jupiter in your 11th | Saturn in your 2nd | Saturn in your 11th |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aries | Apr 2036 to Apr 2037 | Mar 2033 to Mar 2034 | Aug 2029 to May 2032 | Feb 2052 to Feb 2055 |
| Taurus | Sep 2036 to May 2038 | Mar 2034 to Apr 2035 | May 2032 to Jul 2034 | now, to Feb 2028 |
| Gemini | now, to Jun 2027 | Apr 2035 to Apr 2036 | Jul 2034 to Aug 2036 | Jun 2027 to Apr 2030 |
| Cancer | Oct 2026 to Jul 2028 | Apr 2036 to Apr 2037 | Aug 2036 to Jul 2039 | Aug 2029 to May 2032 |
| Leo | Nov 2027 to Aug 2029 | Sep 2036 to May 2038 | Oct 2038 to Sep 2041 | May 2032 to Jul 2034 |
| Virgo | Dec 2028 to Sep 2030 | now, to Jun 2027 | Jan 2041 to Aug 2044 | Jul 2034 to Aug 2036 |
| Libra | Jan 2030 to Oct 2031 | Oct 2026 to Jul 2028 | Dec 2043 to Dec 2046 | Aug 2036 to Jul 2039 |

| Sagittarius | Mar 2032 to Mar 2033 | Dec 2028 to Sep 2030 | Mar 2049 to Feb 2052 | Jan 2041 to Aug 2044 |
| Capricorn | Mar 2033 to Mar 2034 | Jan 2030 to Oct 2031 | Feb 2052 to Feb 2055 | Dec 2043 to Dec 2046 |
| Aquarius | Mar 2034 to Apr 2035 | Feb 2031 to Oct 2032 | now, to Feb 2028 | Dec 2046 to Dec 2049 |
| Pisces | Apr 2035 to Apr 2036 | Mar 2032 to Mar 2033 | Jun 2027 to Apr 2030 | Mar 2049 to Feb 2052 |
The windows are given as whole seasons because both planets retrograde back out of a sign and return. Jupiter, for instance, first reaches Leo on 31 October 2026, leaves on 25 January 2027, returns on 26 June 2027, leaves again on 26 November 2027, comes back on 28 February 2028 and finally clears the sign on 24 July 2028. The season runs across all four visits, so a Cancer-rising reader whose 2nd house is Leo has Jupiter in and out of it from October 2026 to July 2028 rather than continuously.
A transit is not a period, and confusing them is the common mistake
Jupiter reaching your 11th house is the same event for everyone born under your rising sign, on the same dates, however many million of you there are. Your sub-period ladder is yours alone, decided by the Moon's exact degree at your birth minute.
The two are read together, and the ladder outranks the transit. A transit describes the weather in one area of your chart. A period decides which area of your chart is on stage at all. Jupiter crossing your 11th during a sub-period run by your 11th ruler is a strong combination, and the tradition treats the pair arriving together as the real signal rather than either one alone. The same transit during a sub-period run by a planet with no money house is a season in which the 11th is favourably lit and nothing is standing in it.
That is the whole reason this page reads the ladder first and the sky second.
Three charts, worked end to end
Three real charts, computed on 26 August 2026 from the birth details printed with each. They were chosen to be the three shapes the answer takes: one where the inflow ruler's period is ending, one where a single ruler works both sides, and one where a wealth combination is present and points at a different part of the chart entirely.
Chart A: the inflow period that ends this morning
9 October 1988, 05:22, Guwahati. Virgo rising at 22.05 degrees, in the nakshatra Hasta. Moon in Virgo at 1.27 degrees, in Uttara Phalguni, standing in the 1st house. Age 37.
| House | Sign | Ruler | Where the ruler stands | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2nd, what is held | Libra | Venus | 12th house, in Leo | Neutral |
| 6th, what is owed | Aquarius | Saturn | 4th house, in Sagittarius | Neutral |
| 11th, what comes in | Cancer | Moon | 1st house, in Virgo | Neutral |
| 12th, what goes out | Leo | Sun | 1st house, in Virgo | Neutral |
Four distinct rulers, so every period reads cleanly as one thing. None of the four is exalted, meaning at its strongest sign, or debilitated, meaning at its weakest, so the structural half of this chart's money reading is unremarkable and the timing half carries it.
The chart does have a dhana yoga: Mercury and the Moon stand together in Virgo in the 1st house, and they rule the 1st and the 11th. Mercury there is exalted at 27.16 degrees and retrograde. It also carries Bhadra Yoga, which is the Mercury member of the five Pancha Mahapurusha combinations, formed when a planet stands in its own or exalted sign in one of the four angles of the chart, and Budha-Aditya Yoga, Mercury standing with the Sun. By the finding above, none of that changes a single date below.
Now. The major period is Rahu, from 13 September 2009 to 13 September 2027. Rahu owns no sign, so it classifies as no money house at all, but it stands in the 6th house of debt and obligation, in Aquarius, which is the placement that has been colouring eighteen years of this life.
Inside it, the sub-period ruled by the Moon, this chart's 11th ruler, ran from 24 February 2025 and ends at 09:29 on 26 August 2026. The sub-sub-period inside that, ruled by the Sun, this chart's 12th ruler, ran from 30 July 2026 and ends on the same morning. So the last four weeks of the inflow period were run by the outflow ruler, which is the layered reading in its simplest form.
Next. From 26 August 2026 the sub-period passes to Mars, which owns neither a money house nor stands in one, and runs to 13 September 2027.
| From | To | Major period | Sub-period | Ruler owns | Reads as |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 24 Feb 2025 | 26 Aug 2026 | Rahu | Moon | 11th | inflow |
| 26 Aug 2026 | 13 Sep 2027 | Rahu | Mars | nothing | neither |
| 13 Sep 2027 | 1 Nov 2029 | Jupiter | Jupiter | nothing | neither |
| 1 Nov 2029 | 14 May 2032 | Jupiter | Saturn | 6th | outflow |
| 14 May 2032 | 20 Aug 2034 | Jupiter | Mercury | nothing | neither |
| 20 Aug 2034 | 27 Jul 2035 | Jupiter | Ketu | nothing | neither |
| 27 Jul 2035 | 27 Mar 2038 | Jupiter | Venus | 2nd | inflow |
| 27 Mar 2038 | 13 Jan 2039 | Jupiter | Sun | 12th | outflow |
| 13 Jan 2039 | 14 May 2040 | Jupiter | Moon | 11th | inflow |
The next inflow sub-period after this morning begins on 27 July 2035, at age 46.8. The wait is eight years and eleven months. Measured against the 100,000-chart distribution, that gap sits between the median of 12.1 years and the 10th percentile of 7.5, so it is a shorter wait than most charts carry and it is still nearly nine years.
And the sky. Jupiter is in Cancer today, which is this chart's 11th house, and stays in and out of it until June 2027. That is the favourable transit for income arriving in the same season the 11th ruler's own period walks off stage. Saturn is in the 7th and does not reach this chart's 11th until July 2034 or its 2nd until January 2041.
The two together are the reason this page reads the ladder before the sky. Somebody reading only the transit would call 2026 an income year for every Virgo-rising person alive. The ladder says this particular chart had its inflow period from February 2025 to this morning, and what follows is a long flat stretch with good weather over an empty house.
In the D-2 hora, four of the seven planets stand in the Sun's half and three of the four money rulers do: Venus, Saturn and the Sun, with only the Moon in the Moon's half. Read with the product's own rule, the money route in this chart leans towards what is actively earned rather than what accumulates, and the one exception is the 11th ruler itself.
Chart B: one ruler owning both sides, with no wealth combination at all
29 April 1986, 22:52, Indore. Sagittarius rising at 9.35 degrees, in Moola. Moon in Sagittarius at 27.15 degrees, in Uttara Ashadha, in the 1st house. Age 40.
| House | Sign | Ruler | Where the ruler stands | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2nd, what is held | Capricorn | Saturn | 12th house, in Scorpio | Neutral, retrograde |
| 6th, what is owed | Taurus | Venus | 6th house, in Taurus | Own sign |
| 11th, what comes in | Libra | Venus | 6th house, in Taurus | Own sign |
| 12th, what goes out | Scorpio | Mars | 1st house, in Sagittarius | Neutral |
Venus owns both the 6th and the 11th, which is the Sagittarius pattern from the table earlier, and it stands in its own sign in the 6th house. Own sign means the planet is in the sign it rules, which is the second-strongest condition a planet can be in, after exaltation, which is the single sign each planet is at its peak in. So this chart's single ambiguous ruler is strong, and it is strong while sitting in the house of obligation.
Saturn, which owns the 2nd house of what is held, stands in the 12th house of what goes out, and is retrograde. The chart's cleanest inflow ruler is therefore placed in its opposite house. The chart carries Chandra-Mangala Yoga, the Moon and Mars in one sign, which is read for enterprise and earning drive. It carries no dhana yoga at all, which places it with the third of charts that do not, and by the controlled comparison above that costs it nothing in timing.
Now. The major period is Rahu, 8 February 2009 to 8 February 2027, with Rahu standing in the 5th house in Aries. The sub-period from 21 January 2026 to 8 February 2027 is Mars, this chart's 12th ruler, so the year running as this page is written is an outflow year at the sub-period level with no money ruler above it.
| From | To | Major period | Sub-period | Ruler owns | Reads as |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 21 Jan 2026 | 8 Feb 2027 | Rahu | Mars | 12th | outflow |
| 8 Feb 2027 | 29 Mar 2029 | Jupiter | Jupiter | nothing | neither |
| 29 Mar 2029 | 10 Oct 2031 | Jupiter | Saturn | 2nd | inflow |
| 10 Oct 2031 | 15 Jan 2034 | Jupiter | Mercury | nothing | neither |
| 15 Jan 2034 | 22 Dec 2034 | Jupiter | Ketu | nothing | neither |
| 22 Dec 2034 | 22 Aug 2037 | Jupiter | Venus | 6th and 11th | both at once |
| 22 Aug 2037 | 10 Jun 2038 | Jupiter | Sun | nothing | neither |
| 10 Jun 2038 | 10 Oct 2039 | Jupiter | Moon | nothing | neither |
| 10 Oct 2039 | 15 Sep 2040 | Jupiter | Mars | 12th | outflow |
The two dates that matter are 29 March 2029 and 22 December 2034, and they need reading differently.
The first, Jupiter-Saturn from March 2029 to October 2031, is thirty months run by the 2nd ruler. It is the chart's clean holding period, and the caveat that comes with it is written into the placement: Saturn is standing in the 12th, so what this period is expected to build is best protected deliberately rather than assumed to stay.
The second, Jupiter-Venus from December 2034 to August 2037, is thirty-two months run by a planet that owns the inflow house and the obligation house at the same time, in its own sign, sitting in the obligation house. It is the strongest money period in the next fourteen years and it is not a clean one. The reading is that both sides of the ledger move together and the net is what needs watching.
And the sky. Saturn is in this chart's 4th house today and Jupiter in the 8th, so neither slow planet is on the money axis at present. Jupiter reaches the 11th house from December 2028 to September 2030, which overlaps the front of the Jupiter-Saturn inflow period, and reaches the 2nd from March 2032 to March 2033, which does not overlap either.
In the D-2 hora, only one of the seven planets stands in the Sun's half and none of the money rulers do. On the product's own reading that puts this chart's money route firmly on the accumulating side rather than the actively earned side, and it is one of the 8.52% of charts with no money ruler in the Sun's hora.
Chart C: a wealth combination that points somewhere else
11 May 1981, 10:06, Pune. Gemini rising at 24.5 degrees, in Punarvasu. Moon in Cancer at 29.89 degrees, in Ashlesha, standing in the 2nd house. Age 45.
| House | Sign | Ruler | Where the ruler stands | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2nd, what is held | Cancer | Moon | 2nd house, in Cancer | Own sign |
| 6th, what is owed | Scorpio | Mars | 11th house, in Aries | Own sign |
| 11th, what comes in | Aries | Mars | 11th house, in Aries | Own sign |
| 12th, what goes out | Taurus | Venus | 12th house, in Taurus | Own sign |
Every one of the three distinct rulers is in its own sign and standing in a house it owns. That is an unusually tidy money structure, and it is worth being precise about what tidy buys, because the timing below is what decides the life.
Mars owns both the 6th and the 11th, the Gemini pattern, and stands in the 11th in Aries. The Sun is exalted in Aries in the same 11th house.
The chart carries two Raja Yogas, combinations linking the ruler of an angle to the ruler of a trine and read for rise and standing, and one dhana yoga: Mercury and Venus together in Taurus, ruling the 1st and the 5th. Notice which houses that combination involves. Neither the 2nd nor the 11th. Venus does own this chart's 12th as its second sign, so one participant is a money ruler, but the linkage that forms the yoga runs between the 1st and the 5th, and neither inflow house is in it. The combination is real and it is pointed at self and fortune rather than at income, which is exactly the case the dhana yoga section above is about.
Now. The major period is Mars, 30 June 2024 to 30 June 2031, and Mars owns the 6th and the 11th together. So this entire seven-year block is a both-sides block: inflow and obligation on the floor at once, with the ruler standing in the 11th house it owns, in its own sign.
Inside it the sub-period from 14 December 2025 to 20 November 2026 is Jupiter, which owns no money house here. The sub-sub-period running as this page is written is the Moon, the 2nd ruler.
| From | To | Major period | Sub-period | Ruler owns | Reads as |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14 Dec 2025 | 20 Nov 2026 | Mars | Jupiter | nothing | neither |
| 20 Nov 2026 | 30 Dec 2027 | Mars | Saturn | nothing | neither |
| 30 Dec 2027 | 26 Dec 2028 | Mars | Mercury | nothing | neither |
| 26 Dec 2028 | 24 May 2029 | Mars | Ketu | nothing | neither |
| 24 May 2029 | 24 Jul 2030 | Mars | Venus | 12th | outflow |
| 24 Jul 2030 | 29 Nov 2030 | Mars | Sun | nothing | neither |
| 29 Nov 2030 | 30 Jun 2031 | Mars | Moon | 2nd | inflow |
| 30 Jun 2031 | 13 Mar 2034 | Rahu | Rahu | nothing | neither |
| 13 Mar 2034 | 5 Aug 2036 | Rahu | Jupiter | nothing | neither |
| 5 Aug 2036 | 12 Jun 2039 | Rahu | Saturn | nothing | neither |
| 12 Jun 2039 | 30 Dec 2041 | Rahu | Mercury | nothing | neither |
The seven months from 29 November 2030 to 30 June 2031 are the last inflow sub-period this chart gets for a long time. The next one after it is Rahu-Moon, beginning 11 December 2046 at age 65.6. That is a gap of fifteen years and five months, which sits at the 90th percentile of the 100,000-chart distribution.
The reason is the eighteen-year Rahu major period that begins on 30 June 2031. Rahu owns no sign, and the sub-periods early in its own major period fall to Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury, none of which owns a money house from Gemini rising. So the chart's structural tidiness and its two Raja Yogas sit through a decade and a half with no money ruler on the floor.
And the sky. Jupiter is in Cancer today, which is this chart's 2nd house, and stays in and out of it until June 2027. Saturn is in the 10th and reaches the 11th house from June 2027 to April 2030, then the 2nd from July 2034 to August 2036.
In the D-2 hora, only the Moon stands in the Sun's half, so six of seven planets and two of the three money rulers fall in the Moon's half, the accumulating side.
What the three charts have in common
None of the three is a weak chart. A carries an exalted Mercury and a Pancha Mahapurusha combination. B has its ambiguous ruler in its own sign. C has three money rulers in their own signs, two Raja Yogas and a dhana yoga. All three, on 26 August 2026, are either just past an inflow period or several years short of one, and in C's case fifteen years short.
That is the general shape and it is why this hub is ordered the way it is. Capacity questions are answered in a paragraph. Timing questions take a ladder of dates, and the ladder is what changes what you should do this year.
The reading order, in seven steps
- Find your four rulers. Rising sign, then the table above. Write down four planet names.
- Check whether one of them works both sides. Gemini, Sagittarius and Pisces rising have one planet on the inflow and outflow houses at once. Leo and Aquarius rising have one planet holding both inflow houses. If you are one of those five, no period of that planet can be labelled good or bad on its own.
- Look up your structural share. How much of the 120-year cycle your money rulers control at all, from 26.7% for Pisces rising to 60.0% for Aries. That is your prior before any date is checked.
- Find what is running now, at both levels. Which planet owns the major period, which owns the sub-period, and what each of them owns in your chart. Two thirds of people have a money ruler somewhere in the pair. A third have neither, and for them the honest reading is that the chart is pointed elsewhere this year.
- Find the next two boundaries. The date the current sub-period ends, and the date the next 2nd or 11th ruler sub-period begins. The gap between them is the number that answers most money questions people actually ask. Half of all charts carry a stretch of more than twelve years somewhere in that ladder.
- Then check Jupiter and Saturn. Only after the ladder, and read as weather over a house rather than as an event in your life. A transit into your 11th during a sub-period run by a planet with no money house is a lit stage with nobody standing on it.
- Read the dhana yoga and the hora last, as tint. Whether you have a wealth combination says something about structure and nothing measurable about timing. The hora balance says which of two routes the money tends to come by. Neither one moves a date.
What your own chart adds to this
Everything above is computable from your rising sign alone, and you can finish it from these tables without giving anybody your birth details. What the tables cannot do is count your ladder, because that comes from the Moon's exact degree at your birth minute rather than from your rising sign.
Four things need the full birth data, and each is a specific output rather than a general statement:
- Your own ladder of sub-periods with dates, each one labelled by which of your money houses its ruler owns. That is the table printed for charts A, B and C above, for your chart. The dasha calculator prints the ladder free.
- Your gap. The number of months from today until the next sub-period run by your 2nd or 11th ruler. It is the single number that answers "When will my finance improve" honestly, and it is different for every birth minute.
- Where each of your four rulers actually stands, and in what condition. The kundli calculator gives you the chart free, and the money rulers are the four houses named at the top of this page.
- Whether your dhana yoga is formed, and by which planets. As chart C shows, the difference between a wealth combination formed by your 2nd and 11th rulers and one formed by your 1st and 5th matters, and only the chart says which one you have.
For the reading that puts those four together and works the ladder against the transits, the wealth report is the product built for it, and chart chat will answer follow-ups against your own computed chart rather than in general.
Where each money question goes from here
The hub replaces forty-nine general money pages that between them answered none of the four question shapes with a date. Each shape now has one page that counts something.
"When will I be debt free?" The exit is dated by two boundaries: when your 6th ruler's sub-period ends and when a 2nd or 11th ruler's begins. When will I be debt free works both dates for all twelve rising signs and replaces why I keep falling into debt, drowning in debt and the credit card debt spiral, which between them earned no clicks and 62 impressions across the 29 days to 21 August 2026.
"When will my finance improve?" When does my income actually rise takes the 11th ruler's ladder and the Jupiter transit together, which is the pairing step 6 above describes.
"Why does money come and go but never stay?" That is the 12th and the 6th against the 2nd, and why my money leaks, the 6th and the 12th reads the five ways one ruler can drain another, with the base rate for each.
"How much is possible for me?" The capacity question. My wealth ceiling in the chart scores the structural half and measures how weakly it relates to the timing half. Do I have a dhana yoga checks the combination itself against all four detection rules.
"I have lost everything, what now?" Financial rock bottom, what comes next reads the recovery ladder rather than the fall.
"Should I stay employed or start something?" The money houses do not answer that one. Job or business, which my chart supports reads the 10th, the 7th and the 3rd, which are the houses that decide it.
The rest of the money category is at all money guides, and the other life-question hubs are at Ask your chart: work and career, family and love and marriage.
What this page will not tell you
It will not give you an amount. Nothing on this page computes a figure in rupees, and no arrangement of houses does. What it computes is which house has the floor and between which dates.
It will not rank your chart against other people's. The percentages here are base rates over 100,000 sampled charts, and a base rate places a chart in a distribution rather than scoring it. Aries rising having a money ruler on the floor for 60% of the cycle against Pisces rising at 26.7% is a difference in how the periods are spread, and the Pisces chart spends the remaining 73% running other houses that have their own outcomes.
It will not read the 8th house. Inheritance, insurance, other people's money and sudden reversals belong to the 8th, and the flow arithmetic here excludes it deliberately so that the inflow and outflow columns mean what they say.
The base rates are for the sampling scheme described. Birth times drawn uniformly across the clock are not how humans are actually born, and the rising sign depends on latitude, so the ascendant distribution in the sample is a New Delhi distribution rather than a world one. Every percentage on this page is stated against that scheme, and the 30,000-chart replication at a different seed reproduces each headline figure to within 0.3 points.
