AstroMedha

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 June 2026

AstroMedha (“we”, “us”) provides Vedic astrology and numerology guidance computed from your birth details. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”). We ask only for what the service needs, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

  • Email address, when you subscribe to our updates from a content page or tool, or when you create an account.
  • Account details, email and a password (stored hashed by our authentication provider) if you sign up.
  • Birth details, the name, date, time, and place of birth you enter to generate a chart, reading, or tool result. Time and place are used only to compute astronomical positions.
  • Usage data, pages viewed, features used, and engagement signals, used to operate and improve the product.
  • Payment information, processed by our payment gateway. We receive a confirmation and a payment reference; we never see or store your full card or bank details.

Why we use it (purpose)

  • To compute and deliver your astrology and numerology guidance.
  • To send the emails you asked for, daily or weekly guidance, and product updates.
  • To operate accounts, process payments, and provide support.
  • To understand which features help, so we can improve the product.

We process your data on the basis of your consent, given by a clear affirmative action (for example, submitting an email form or creating an account). You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your rights” below).

AI-generated readings

Some features (such as Chart Chat and deep readings) use a third-party AI provider to generate text. To do this, the relevant chart context derived from your birth details, and your question, are sent to that provider solely to produce your reading. It is not used to train their models on your data and is not shared further.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, to run the service:

  • Our database and authentication provider (hosting your account and data).
  • Our email delivery provider (to send the emails you opted into).
  • Our AI provider (to generate readings, as described above).
  • Our payment gateway (to process payments).
  • Analytics and hosting providers (to run and measure the site).

We may also disclose data where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account or subscription is active and as needed for the purposes above. When you unsubscribe from marketing email, we remove you from that list. When you delete your account or ask us to erase your data, we delete it, except where we must retain limited records (for example, a payment record) to meet a legal obligation.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act and our policy, you can:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or update it.
  • Ask us to erase your data.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.
  • Raise a grievance and have it addressed.

To unsubscribe, use the one-click link at the bottom of any email we send. To exercise any other right, or to nominate someone to act on your behalf, email us at support@astromedha.in.

Children

AstroMedha is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of children without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and trusted infrastructure providers. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to limit what we collect in the first place.

Grievance redressal & contact

For any privacy question, request, or grievance, contact our grievance contact at support@astromedha.in. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product or the law evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will give notice through the service or by email.
