The Sun owns Leo. The Moon owns Cancer. Mercury owns Gemini and Virgo, Venus owns Taurus and Libra, Mars owns Aries and Scorpio, Jupiter owns Sagittarius and Pisces, Saturn owns Capricorn and Aquarius. That table has not moved in two thousand years and is the same in your chart as in everyone's.
What is personal is which of your houses each sign landed in, which follows from your rising sign. If Aquarius furnishes your 7th house, Saturn is the lord of your marriage house, no matter where Saturn itself is standing.
Rahu and Ketu own no signs. They are the lunar nodes, not bodies, and they are read as tenants and amplifiers rather than as landlords.
The reading is a walk, not a lookup. Take the house you care about, find the sign furnishing it, find the planet that owns that sign, and then find where that planet actually stands. The condition it is in over there is the condition the house it owns is run in.
This is why an empty house is perfectly readable and why a full one can still be badly run. A 10th house with nothing in it, owned by a Venus that sits strong in the 11th, describes a career driven through networks and gains rather than through the office itself.
