Ask Your Chart: Confidence and Self-Worth
"Why do I feel like this now" is two questions wearing one coat. The first is about you, and it does not change much between one year and the next. The second is about now, and it changes constantly. A birth chart answers the first one. A birth chart read against today's date answers the second, and the second is almost always the one being asked.
The two have different remedies, which is why the difference is worth keeping straight. If the answer is "this is how you are built", the useful move is to stop fighting the build and arrange your life around it. If the answer is "this is what is running", the useful move is to know what is running, know when it ends, and decide what to carry until then. A hard eighteen months treated as the first kind of answer becomes a verdict about a person, which is both wrong and expensive.
Everything below is sidereal, computed with the Lahiri ayanamsa against the Swiss ephemeris, which is the same calculation behind every free tool on this site. Where a date appears it is a computed sign change or a computed period boundary rather than a rounded guess, and where a percentage appears it comes from a study of 100,000 generated charts described in full further down, so you can see what it was measured on.
The four places this question is read from
A chart does not store a mood. What it stores is a set of positions, and four of those positions are the ones a Vedic reading uses when the question is about confidence, worth, or the sense of being enough. Each of the four has a lookup further down this page.
Your lagna and the planet that rules it. Your lagna is the sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the minute and the place you were born, and it moves through all twelve signs in roughly twenty-four hours, which is why the birth time settles it and the birth date alone does not. The lagna stands for the body and for the self that walks into a room. The planet that rules that sign is called the lagna lord, and where that planet sits is read as where your sense of yourself actually lives. A lagna lord in the 10th house puts it in work. A lagna lord in the 12th puts it somewhere private. Neither is better than the other; they are different addresses, and knowing the address explains why praise at work lands for one person and slides off another.
The Moon. In this tradition the Moon is the mind, meaning the baseline you return to rather than the mood you happen to be in. Three things about it get read: the sign it occupies, whether any planet sits with it or looks at it, and how far it was from the Sun when you were born. Together those describe how quickly you settle, what settles you, and how long you take to come back up after something knocks you down. A great deal of what gets called low confidence is a Moon condition being read as a character flaw.
The Sun. The Sun carries standing: being seen, being credited, holding a position without apologising for it. When someone says the real problem is that they cannot take credit for their own work, or that a compliment feels like a mistake somebody is about to correct, the Sun is the placement being described. The Moon question is "can I steady myself". The Sun question is "am I allowed to take up space". People often arrive certain they have one of those problems and turn out to have the other.
The 1st and 5th houses, and who is sitting in them. The 1st house is the lagna itself, so anything sitting there colours the first impression you make and the first impression you have of yourself. The 5th house is the one people skip, and it is the one that matters most for self-worth: it covers what you make, what you enjoy, and whether you are able to be pleased with yourself without needing a reason. Roughly half of all charts have the 1st empty and roughly half have the 5th empty, so if either of yours is, that is the common case and the reading falls to its lord instead.
Find your four without any calculation
If you know your lagna, the table below gives you three of the four immediately. If you do not know it yet, the kundli tool computes it from your birth details in a few seconds and costs nothing.
| Lagna | Lagna lord | 5th sign | 5th lord | Yogakaraka | Sun rules your | Moon rules your |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aries | Mars | Leo | Sun | none | 5th | 4th |
| Taurus | Venus | Virgo | Mercury | Saturn | 4th | 3rd |
| Gemini | Mercury | Libra | Venus | none | 3rd | 2nd |
| Cancer | Moon | Scorpio | Mars | Mars | 2nd | 1st |
| Leo | Sun | Sagittarius | Jupiter | Mars | 1st | 12th |
| Virgo | Mercury | Capricorn | Saturn | none | 12th | 11th |
| Libra | Venus | Aquarius | Saturn | Saturn | 11th | 10th |
| Scorpio | Mars | Pisces | Jupiter | none | 10th | 9th |
| Sagittarius | Jupiter | Aries | Mars | none | 9th | 8th |
| Capricorn | Saturn | Taurus | Venus | Venus | 8th | 7th |
| Aquarius | Saturn | Gemini | Mercury | Venus | 7th | 6th |
| Pisces | Jupiter | Cancer | Moon | none | 6th | 5th |
Two of those columns need explaining before they are any use.
The yogakaraka column names the single planet that rules both an angle and a trine for your lagna, which classical practice treats as the strongest helpful planet a chart can have. Six of the twelve lagnas get one: Taurus and Libra get Saturn, Cancer and Leo get Mars, Capricorn and Aquarius get Venus. If your row says none, nothing is missing from your chart. It means the helpful work is spread across several planets instead of concentrated in one, and the reading follows whichever of them your running period belongs to.
The last two columns are the reason the same planet reads differently in two people's charts. A planet's job in your chart is decided by which houses it rules counted from your lagna, and those houses are fixed the moment your lagna is. For a Leo lagna the Sun rules the 1st house, so it is working for you directly and strengthening it helps. For a Capricorn lagna the Sun rules the 8th, which is the house classical texts warn against feeding, so the same Sun in the same sign is doing a different job. Advice of the form "wear a ruby for confidence" is therefore unsafe as a general statement: for two of the twelve lagnas the Sun is the planet the texts specifically say to leave alone, and for two more the Moon is.
Here is the same fact stated as the list you actually need. For each lagna, these are the planets that rule the 6th or the 8th house and are therefore the ones classical practice does not recommend strengthening.
| Lagna | Planets classical practice says not to strengthen |
|---|---|
| Aries | Mercury |
| Taurus | Jupiter |
| Gemini | Mars |
| Cancer | Saturn |
| Leo | Saturn |
| Virgo | Mars |
| Libra | Jupiter |
| Scorpio | Mercury |
| Sagittarius | Moon, Venus |
| Capricorn | Sun |
| Aquarius | Moon |
| Pisces | Sun, Venus |
The Sagittarius and Aquarius rows are the ones to notice. For those two lagnas the Moon itself rules a difficult house, which does not mean their minds are worse. It means the mind is where the work happens for them, and a remedy aimed at soothing the Moon is aimed at the wrong place.
Strong, weak, and what those words are actually measuring
Every planet has one sign it is at its best in and one sign directly opposite where it is least supported. The word for the first is exalted, meaning the sign in which the tradition treats a planet as most able to do its job, and the word for the second is debilitated, meaning the sign where it does that job least easily. A planet in a sign it rules is in its own sign, which is a settled middle position: not spectacular, and not in any trouble either. The whole property is called dignity, which belongs to the sign a planet is in rather than to the person whose chart it is.
| Planet | Exalted in | Debilitated in | Own sign |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sun | Aries | Libra | Leo |
| Moon | Taurus | Scorpio | Cancer |
| Mars | Capricorn | Cancer | Aries, Scorpio |
| Mercury | Virgo | Pisces | Gemini, Virgo |
| Jupiter | Cancer | Capricorn | Sagittarius, Pisces |
| Venus | Pisces | Virgo | Taurus, Libra |
| Saturn | Libra | Aries | Capricorn, Aquarius |
The first two rows are the ones this page turns on, and each has a number attached. Across 100,000 charts the Sun is debilitated in 8.2% and exalted in 8.5%, and the Moon is debilitated in 8.3% and exalted in 8.4%. The remaining 74.7% of Suns and 74.9% of Moons are in none of the three, counting own sign as the third, which answers the question most people ask straight after reading a table like that for the first time. Most charts are ordinary on this axis. A debilitated Sun is a real placement worth reading carefully, and it is also something roughly one person in twelve is walking around with.
What a debilitated Sun describes is worth stating plainly, because the word sounds like a sentence being passed. The Sun in Libra is the Sun in the sign of weighing and balancing, so the classical reading is a person whose sense of their own standing gets routed through other people: what they thought, how it landed, whether it was fair. The gain from the placement is a person who is genuinely good at reading a room and unwilling to steamroll anyone. The cost is that a verdict which should take one person's opinion ends up taking a committee's. Naming the mechanism is more use than naming the condition, because the mechanism is the part you can work with.
The Moon has one extra condition the other placements do not, and it comes up often enough in this cluster to deserve its own paragraph. If your Moon was within twelve degrees of the Sun at birth it is described as combust, meaning close enough to the Sun to be lost in its glare, and the classical reading is a mind that has trouble holding a shape separate from the sense of self. In practice that reads as a bad month arriving as evidence about the person rather than about the month. Across 100,000 charts, 6.6% have it.
Where Saturn is, to the day, from 2014 to 2046
Saturn is the planet this cluster of questions keeps landing on, so its real positions are worth having in front of you rather than approximated. Saturn takes about twenty-nine and a half years to travel the twelve signs, spending two to three years in each, and it moves backwards for part of every year, which means it sometimes crosses a sign boundary, retreats over it and crosses again. Every date below is a computed sign change at day resolution, retreats included.
| Saturn enters | Sign |
|---|---|
| 2 November 2014 | Scorpio |
| 26 January 2017 | Sagittarius |
| 21 June 2017 | Scorpio (retreat) |
| 26 October 2017 | Sagittarius |
| 24 January 2020 | Capricorn |
| 29 April 2022 | Aquarius |
| 12 July 2022 | Capricorn (retreat) |
| 17 January 2023 | Aquarius |
| 29 March 2025 | Pisces |
| 3 June 2027 | Aries |
| 20 October 2027 | Pisces (retreat) |
| 23 February 2028 | Aries |
| 8 August 2029 | Taurus |
| 5 October 2029 | Aries (retreat) |

| 11 December 2043 | Scorpio |
| 23 June 2044 | Libra (retreat) |
| 30 August 2044 | Scorpio |
| 8 December 2046 | Sagittarius |
As of 26 August 2026 Saturn is in Pisces, where it has been since 29 March 2025. Jupiter is in Cancer, the sign it is exalted in.
The 29 March 2025 date is the one people find first. If your sense of things getting heavier has a start point somewhere in the first half of 2025 and you have never been able to name what changed, the next section tells you whether the two facts are connected in your case.
Saturn counted from your Moon, for all twelve Moon signs
Saturn's sign on its own says nothing about you. Saturn's sign counted from your own natal Moon sign says a great deal, and that count is the single most used piece of timing in Indian practice. Count your Moon sign as 1 and go forward: Saturn in the sign before your Moon is the 12th, in your Moon's own sign it is the 1st, in the sign after it is the 2nd. Those three positions taken together are called sade sati, the long stretch in which Saturn crosses the sign before your Moon, your Moon's own sign, and the sign after it. Two further positions are read as pressure in the same family: Saturn in the 4th from the Moon, which classical practice reads as pressure on home and rest, and Saturn in the 8th, which it reads as pressure on everything that runs under the surface.
Your Moon sign is the sign your Moon occupied at birth. It is not your birthday sign and it is not the sign a newspaper column means. The rashi tool computes it and needs only your date, time and place.
The table below is computed from the ingress dates above. The span given runs from Saturn's first entry into the 12th to its final exit from the 2nd, which is why several of them exceed seven and a half years: a retreat across a boundary extends the window at its edges.
| Your Moon sign | Where Saturn is from it today | Sade sati span | Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aries | 12th, sade sati running | 29 Mar 2025 to 31 May 2032 | 7.2 years |
| Taurus | 11th | 3 Jun 2027 to 13 Jul 2034 | 7.1 years |
| Gemini | 10th | 8 Aug 2029 to 27 Aug 2036 | 7.1 years |
| Cancer | 9th | 31 May 2032 to 13 Jul 2039 | 7.1 years |
| Leo | 8th, Saturn in the 8th from the Moon | 13 Jul 2034 to 26 Sep 2041 | 7.2 years |
| Virgo | 7th | 27 Aug 2036 to 30 Aug 2044 | 8.0 years |
| Libra | 6th | 22 Oct 2038 to 8 Dec 2046 | 8.1 years |
| Scorpio | 5th | begins 28 Jan 2041 | runs past this table |
| Sagittarius | 4th, Saturn in the 4th from the Moon | begins 11 Dec 2043 | runs past this table |
| Capricorn | 3rd | begins 8 Dec 2046 | runs past this table |
| Aquarius | 2nd, sade sati running | 24 Jan 2020 to 23 Feb 2028 | 8.1 years |
| Pisces | 1st, sade sati running | 29 Apr 2022 to 17 Apr 2030 | 8.0 years |
Three of the twelve Moon signs are in sade sati as this is written: Aries, Aquarius and Pisces. Leo Moons are carrying Saturn in the 8th from the Moon, which runs 29 March 2025 to 23 February 2028. Sagittarius Moons are carrying Saturn in the 4th over exactly the same span, 29 March 2025 to 23 February 2028. Everyone else in the table is outside all three positions today, which does not mean nothing is happening in their lives. It means Saturn's transit is not the first thing to look at for them, and the running period probably is.
The last three rows are honest about their own limit. Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn Moons begin their next sade sati in 2041, 2043 and 2046, and the end dates fall beyond the 2046 horizon these figures were computed to, so the length is left unstated rather than guessed.
How common is any of this, across 100,000 charts
The question underneath most of the messages that produced this page is not an astrological one. It is "is something wrong with me". A distribution answers that better than reassurance does, so here is one.
The study generates 100,000 charts from uniform random births between 1 January 1975 and 31 December 2007 across ten Indian cities with a uniform random clock minute, computes each one in full, and evaluates every running period as of 26 August 2026. It is a distribution of chart structures rather than a survey of people, and it is stated that way so the numbers are not read as something they are not.
Saturn's transit, today.
| Condition on 26 August 2026 | Share of charts |
|---|---|
| In sade sati | 25.2% |
| Saturn in the 4th from the Moon | 8.4% |
| Saturn in the 8th from the Moon | 8.3% |
| Any of the three | 41.8% |
The running period, today. Each planet takes its turn to run the chart in a fixed order and for a fixed length, in a cycle called Vimshottari that totals 120 years: Ketu 7, Venus 20, Sun 6, Moon 10, Mars 7, Rahu 18, Jupiter 16, Saturn 19, Mercury 17. Where you start in that cycle is set by which of the 27 nakshatras your Moon occupied at birth. A nakshatra is one of the twenty-seven segments the sky is divided into for this purpose, each with an owning planet. Because the lengths differ, the share of people running a given period today is not one ninth; it is proportional to how long that period lasts.
| Planet running the long chapter today | Share of charts |
|---|---|
| Jupiter | 18.6% |
| Rahu | 17.8% |
| Saturn | 15.5% |
| Venus | 13.3% |
| Mercury | 11.1% |
| Moon | 8.1% |
| Mars | 5.9% |
| Sun | 5.0% |
| Ketu | 4.6% |
Saturn, Rahu or Ketu is running the long chapter for 37.9% of charts, and for 13.8% one of those three is running both the long chapter and the sub-period inside it at the same time.
Everything together. Counting three markers at once, Saturn's transit pressure, a Saturn or Rahu or Ketu long chapter, and a running period whose lord rules a difficult house for that particular lagna:
| Number of pressure markers today | Share of charts |
|---|---|
| none | 24.9% |
| one | 48.5% |
| two | 24.4% |
| all three | 2.2% |
Three quarters of ordinary charts carry at least one of them right now, and a quarter carry two or more. Whatever else that says, it says that carrying one is not a distinguishing fact about a person, and that the useful question is never "do I have one" but "which one, and when does it end". Both halves of that question have dated answers.
A few structural numbers, for the sections above.
| Share of charts | |
|---|---|
| 1st house empty of planets | 49.0% |
| 5th house empty of planets | 49.4% |
| Saturn, Mars, Rahu or Ketu in the 1st house | 29.9% |
| Lagna lord in the 6th, 8th or 12th house | 25.8% |
| Lagna lord debilitated | 7.6% |
| Lagna lord exalted or in its own sign | 21.7% |
| Saturn with the Moon or looking at it | 33.4% |
| Saturn in the Moon's own sign | 8.4% |
| Moon combust | 6.6% |
| Born on the dark half of the lunar month | 49.9% |
| Running a period ruled by your own lagna lord today | 22.0% |
The two 49% figures explain something that puzzles a lot of first-time readers. Half of all charts have nothing at all in the 1st house and half have nothing in the 5th, so an empty house is the ordinary case and never a deficiency. When a house is empty the reading moves to its lord, and wherever the ruler of that sign has gone is where that part of your life is being conducted from.
Why the date is half the answer
A placement has been in your chart since birth. If the placement were the whole story the feeling would have been constant since birth, and nobody writes in to say that. What people say is that it got worse in 2016, or that something changed in the spring of 2025, or that it has been eighteen months and they cannot see the end. Dating that is what the period system, called dasha, exists to do.
The period system runs three levels deep and all three are needed. The mahadasha is the long chapter, six to twenty years depending on which planet owns it. The antardasha is the sub-period inside it, and its length is that planet's own share of the long chapter: inside a Saturn mahadasha of nineteen years the sub-periods run from about eleven months when the Sun holds one to just over three years when Venus or Saturn does. The pratyantar is the third level down, usually a few weeks to a few months, and it is the level that explains why one fortnight inside a long year feels nothing like the next.
Each level contributes something different. The long chapter sets the register of a decade: a Saturn chapter asks for endurance and builds slowly, a Rahu chapter runs on wanting something you do not yet have, a Jupiter chapter makes meaning easier to find. The sub-period decides which part of your life the chapter is currently working on, because it points at whichever houses its own lord rules in your chart. The third level is the timing of the particular weeks you are in.
Two people can both be in a Saturn long chapter and have nothing in common, because Saturn rules different houses for each of them. For a Capricorn lagna Saturn rules the 1st and 2nd houses, so a Saturn chapter is about that person's own body, effort and resources. For a Cancer lagna Saturn rules the 7th and 8th, so the same chapter is about partnership and about what turns over underneath. A page that says "Saturn mahadasha is hard" has read neither of them. Two worked charts follow, for that reason.
A worked example, computed end to end
Both charts below were found by scanning the same seeded population and taking the first chart that matched a stated profile, rather than by constructing a birth record to make a point. The scan position is given so you can see how ordinary each one is.
Chart A. Born 26 February 1979, 04:02, Guwahati. Sixth chart scanned.
| Lagna | Capricorn, 9.03 degrees |
| Lagna lord | Saturn, in Leo, 8th house, 17.28 degrees, Purva Phalguni |
| 1st house occupants | none |
| 5th house | Taurus, empty; its lord Venus in Sagittarius, 12th house |
| Sun | Aquarius, 2nd house, 13.16 degrees, Shatabhisha |
| Moon | Aquarius, 2nd house, 2.43 degrees, Dhanishta, combust |
| With or looking at the Moon | Sun, Mars, Mercury and Ketu with it; Saturn and Rahu looking at it |
| Born on | the dark half of the lunar month, Moon 349.3 degrees ahead of the Sun |
| Long chapter | Saturn, 18 May 2015 to 18 May 2034 |
| Sub-period | Moon, 20 April 2026 to 20 November 2027 |
| Third level | Rahu, 11 July 2026 to 6 October 2026 |
| Saturn from the Moon | 2nd house, sade sati, 24 January 2020 to 23 February 2028 |
Read in order, that chart says the following.
The lagna lord is Saturn and it sits in the 8th house, which is the house of undercurrent and of change nobody chose. A lagna lord there describes a person whose sense of themselves has always moved in stops and starts, and who tends to have more going on beneath the surface than shows. It is also functionally helpful in this chart rather than harmful, because for a Capricorn lagna Saturn rules the 1st and 2nd houses. The same planet is doing difficult work and is on this person's side, and both halves of that are true at once.
The 1st and 5th houses are both empty. The distribution above shows that either house being empty is the ordinary case, and about one chart in five has both empty at once. So the 5th house reading moves to Venus in the 12th, a house of solitude and of what gets set down. Being pleased with oneself is conducted privately here. Public recognition does not do for this person what it does for others, which is worth knowing before spending a decade chasing it.
The Sun is in the 2nd house and rules the 8th from this lagna, making it the one planet classical practice specifically says not to strengthen for a Capricorn lagna. The Moon is ten degrees from it and therefore combust, and four other bodies share that same sign. That is a mind living very close to the sense of self, which is the placement where a bad month reads as evidence about the person. "Am I fundamentally broken" is what that configuration sounds like from the inside, and the configuration describes proximity rather than damage.
Now the dates, which is where the reading turns into something a person can act on. Saturn has been in the 2nd from this Moon since 29 March 2025, and the whole sade sati started on 24 January 2020 and ends on 23 February 2028. Inside it, the current sub-period belongs to the Moon and runs 20 April 2026 to 20 November 2027, which puts the mind itself at the centre of the next fifteen months. The third level is Rahu, the restless one, until 6 October 2026. So the honest statement to this person on 26 August 2026 is that the most restless phase has about six weeks left, the mind-centred stretch runs to November 2027, and the long transit lifts in February 2028. Three dates, none of them invented, all of them checkable.
The same complaint, a different mechanism

| Third level | Saturn, 25 July 2026 to 18 September 2026 |
| Saturn from the Moon | 10th house, no sade sati until 8 August 2029 |
Same era, same country, the same complaint arriving in the same words, and a completely different mechanism underneath it.
There is no Saturn transit pressure here at all. Saturn sits in the 10th from this Moon and the next sade sati does not begin until 8 August 2029. Anybody reading this chart through sade sati alone would find nothing and conclude, wrongly, that there is nothing to find.
What is running is the Sun's sub-period, 11 February 2026 to 24 January 2027, and the Sun in this chart is debilitated in Libra at 28.52 degrees, sitting in the 5th house alongside Mercury and Jupiter. The Sun is the placement that carries standing and credit. Its own sub-period is the eleven months in which the chart puts that question in front of the person, and it does so from the sign where the Sun routes its verdict through other people's opinions. The predictable shape of those eleven months is a year of measuring yourself against what other people appear to think, in a chart under no structural pressure whatsoever. The date the pressure lifts is 24 January 2027, with no seven-year transit standing behind it.
Consider what a generic answer would have done to these two. Chart A needed to be told about a transit that ends in February 2028. Chart B needed to be told about an eleven-month sub-period that ends in January 2027, and that the heavy-sounding Saturn chapter it is in is not the problem, because Saturn rules the 9th house from a Gemini lagna and is functionally helpful there. The two people are asking the same question in the same words. The right answer to one is the wrong answer to the other, and nothing in the wording distinguishes them.
When the answer is a long one
Some of these spans are genuinely long, and a page that softened that would be worth less than one that says it. An Aries Moon born into the current cycle has sade sati from 29 March 2025 to 31 May 2032, which is seven years and two months. A Libra Moon's next one runs 22 October 2038 to 8 December 2046, which is eight years and one month. There is no reading of those numbers that makes them short.
What can be done with them is division. A seven-year transit is not seven flat years, because three things change inside it. Saturn changes sign two or three times within the span, and each of those changes is a dated entry in the ingress table above, moving Saturn from the 12th from your Moon to the 1st and then to the 2nd. Classical practice reads the middle stretch, when Saturn is in your Moon's own sign, as the demanding part, and the last stretch as the one where the accumulated work starts to hold. Meanwhile the sub-period inside your long chapter changes every few months to three years, so the part of life being worked on moves even when the transit does not. And the third level changes every few weeks, which is what makes one fortnight inside a hard year feel unlike the next.
So the useful form of the question is not "when does it end" but "which segment am I in, and what is the next boundary". Both are computable to the day for any chart, and both are what a reading returns.
One more thing is worth saying to anyone reading this in the middle of a long one. Saturn's classical reading is endurance rather than punishment, and the tradition is consistent that this is the period in which people build the things that hold. It may feel for long stretches as though very little is moving. What often turns out to be true afterwards is that the work done in that stretch is the work that lasted.
What a reading gives you that this page cannot
Everything above is a lookup: your lagna gives you a row, your Moon sign gives you a row, and the population figures give you a sense of scale. A reading combines them, which is the point at which the answer stops being general.
Given your birth date, time and place it computes your lagna and its lord, where that lord sits and in what condition; your Moon by sign, by segment, by what sits with it and what looks at it, by whether it is combust and by which half of the lunar month you were born into; your Sun by sign, house and dignity, and which house it rules from your lagna, which is what decides whether strengthening it helps you or works against you; who occupies your 1st and 5th houses, and where their lords have gone if those houses are empty; your running long chapter, sub-period and third level with their real boundary dates; and Saturn's exact position counted from your own Moon, with the dated span it sits inside.
Then it does the part a table cannot. It says which of those is currently loudest, because on any given date most of them are quiet. The reading that matters is usually one placement and one date, and finding which one is the whole job.
Compute your own
The structural half needs no account.
- Kundli gives you your lagna, your planetary placements and their houses, which is what every table on this page is keyed to.
- Rashi gives you your Moon sign, the input for the Saturn table.
- Nakshatra gives you the Moon's segment, which fixes where your period cycle starts.
- Dasha calculator gives you the long chapter and sub-period you are running today, with their dates.
- Sade Sati tells you whether you are in one and when it ends.
- Hard years marks the stretches your own chart flags, dated.
Why You Feel Things The Way You Do is the written version of the combined read: the Moon in full, the houses of ground, upheaval and retreat read through their lords, where letting go is already native to you, and the running chapter with its real boundaries. If your question is about the period you are in right now rather than about the shape of the chart, Chart Chat answers against your own computed chart, which is where most of the questions behind this page came from.
