Nakshatra. Ashwini, Punarvasu, Pushya, Hasta, Chitra, Swati, Anuradha, Shravana, Dhanishta, Shatabhisha, Revati, Rohini and Mrigashira suit a vehicle. Bharani, Krittika, Ashlesha, Magha, Moola, Jyeshtha and Ardra are avoided.
Weekday. Friday (Venus) and Wednesday (Mercury) are the classic days to buy a vehicle, with Monday and Thursday close behind. Saturday and Tuesday are weaker.
Tithi. The waxing fortnight on a favourable tithi is preferred. The Rikta tithis, Amavasya and the empty tithis are set aside.
