Yoni Koota: The 4-Point Intimacy Test

Yoni Koota is the fourth matching test and is worth 4 points out of 36. It reads physical and intimate compatibility. Each of the 27 nakshatras is given an animal symbol, and the two partners' animals are compared.

The animal symbols

There are fourteen animal yonis, and they come in male and female forms so each nakshatra maps to one. The animals include horse, elephant, sheep, serpent, dog, cat, rat, cow, buffalo, tiger, deer, monkey, mongoose, and lion. Your birth nakshatra fixes your animal. For instance Ashwini is a horse, Bharani an elephant, Krittika a sheep, and so on across all 27.

How the 4 points are scored

The two animals are looked up in a traditional grid. The same animal in both charts earns the full 4 points, read as the easiest physical fit. Friendly pairs score 3. Neutral pairs score 2. Pairs that are natural rivals score 1. Sworn enemy pairs, such as cat and rat or snake and mongoose, score 0. The grid is fixed, so any two nakshatras give a known result.

What the score is really about

Yoni speaks to physical rhythm and intimate ease between partners. A high Yoni suggests the bodily and instinctive side of the marriage comes naturally. A low Yoni, especially an enemy pairing, is read as more friction in that area. It is fair to take this as one signal among many. Intimacy in a real marriage grows with care, trust, and communication, none of which a birth-star animal can measure.

Keeping 4 points in proportion
