Vasant Panchami 2026: Saraswati and the First Day of Spring

Vasant Panchami falls on 23 January 2026, on the fifth tithi of the bright fortnight of Magha, Shukla Panchami, which we confirmed against the panchang. It honours Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, speech, music and the arts, and it greets the first stirrings of spring.

Why This Day Carries Knowledge
