August 2026, day by day
What August 2026 holds in Vedic time, and a read of every single day in it: the tithi turns, the nakshatra changes and what each day asks of you.

No account, about 20 seconds. We compute your real birth chart and read this page against it: your rising sign, your moon, and the planetary period you are actually living through.
August 2026 turns twice, and neither turn falls on a Monday. The month opens in a waning fortnight carried over from July. Around the 12th the Moon goes dark and a waxing fortnight begins, running up to the Shravana full moon on the 28th. From the 29th the Moon wanes again. Those two halves ask for opposite things: a waxing fortnight favours opening, committing and beginning, and a waning one favours closing, collecting and finishing. Reading the month by its calendar weeks hides that, because the hinges sit at the 13th and the 29th.
The Sun spends the first seventeen days in Cancer and moves into Leo on the 18th, which changes what the second half of the month rewards. Cancer's stretch is the more inward one. Leo's asks you to be seen.
The lunar month changes name mid-month too, and which date it changes on depends on the reckoning your family keeps. Under the amanta system, used across western and southern India, Ashadha gives way to Shravana on the 13th. Under the purnimanta system of the north, Shravana runs until the full moon and Bhadrapada begins on the 29th. Both are correct; they simply start counting at different points, and a calendar that shows you only one of them is not wrong so much as partial.
What follows is every day of the month, each read from its own computed panchang rather than from a template. Each entry gives that day's character in a line. The day's own page carries the tithi and nakshatra handover times, what the day supports and what it resists, and the form that reads the day against your own birth chart.

- 29 August The full moon gives way at 09:58 and the waning fortnight opens. Sukarma yoga makes it a good day, but a day for finishing rather than starting.
