Leader Mode

Should you be building, striking or responding at work right now? Your birth chart sets the mode, and the month it changes. Enter your birth details to see yours, with three moves for leading in it.

Local time of birth

Enter the time shown on clocks where you were born, from your birth certificate if you have it. The mode needs it, because the dates it is read from move with the hour.

Why Leaders Need a Mode, Not Just Dates

Most career timing gives you dates and leaves you to work out what to do with them. A mode tells you what kind of effort the months ahead reward. The same hard push that lands a promotion in an open window can cost goodwill when the window is closed, and the same patience that protects you in a heavy season wastes an open one. Knowing the mode first turns a list of dates into a plan.

The Three Modes

ModeWhat the months reward
StrikeThe window is open: the asks you make now are the ones most likely to land.
BuildThe window for a big move is closed for now, so these months pay you for the record you build and the people who see it.
RespondA heavy season: things will happen to you before you choose them, and your answer to them is the work.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do build, strike and respond mean?

They are three work modes. Strike means the timing backs a career move, so the asks you make now are the most likely to land. Build means the window is closed, so the months pay you for the work you finish and the people who see it, not for repeated exits. Respond means a heavy season, when events such as a reorganisation arrive before you choose them, and your answer to them matters more than anything you start.

How does the tool decide my mode?

It reads two things from your birth chart. The first is the planetary sub-period you are in: Vedic astrology divides a life into long periods ruled by a planet, each split into sub-periods, and some sub-periods back a promotion, a change of company, a bigger team or a venture of your own. The second is the slow-planet seasons from Saturn and Jupiter, some of which hold a move back. Strike needs a backing sub-period with no season holding it back; respond is a Saturn season over your Moon sign; build is everything else.

Why does it need my birth time?

The sub-periods start and end on dates set by where the Moon was at your birth, and the Moon moves about half a degree an hour. A wrong hour can move a change date by weeks or even months, so the tool asks for the time on your birth certificate rather than guessing noon.

Is this a prediction that I will get promoted?

No. The mode says which kind of effort the timing favours, not what will happen. A strike window does not deliver the role by itself; it is the stretch in which making the ask has the most behind it. Skill, preparation and the people around you still decide the outcome.

Why does the tool give the same three moves to everyone in a mode?

The moves are what a leader in that mode should usually do, and they are deliberately general. Your own versions depend on the move you are weighing and the question in front of you, which is what Chart Chat and the Meridian profile answer from your chart.
